imagine ur own personality
split it into 16 diff people
each person representing a facet of urself.
wow. its like dissecting your character.
den the psychoanalysis is coOler
u analyse each facet of yourself
and u put them all together to visualise the whole you.
gives a different perspective altog!
furthermore,
each separate personality arose
when she experienced some form of trauma.
she lost memories of years months and days that passed
when the alternate selves toOk over to help her face life
after each trauma.
each alternate self with a different character,
different "appearance"
different attitudes
different likes and dislikes
yet each still an aspect of the original Sybil.
each created to help her face one of her fears,
each still integrally a part of her
yet still wonderfully separate.
so contradictory,
yet explanatory.
wow. i think i confused myself.

MPD is fascinating
its like kind of a self-protecting mechanism
when someone undergoes trauma,
different personalities arise to help face life after the trauma
so that the "original person" can take time off to cope
but you will grow to realise that all these personalities are just
amplified parts of the "original person" that have gained dominance
essentially still a way to self discovery(:

i hope not everyone goes thru that to finally see
who we really are.
